This year, Swaminarayan Gurukul, Bhilai, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with immense pride and patriotic fervor. The day served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the unyielding spirit of unity that defines our nation.

The festivities commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, a powerful symbol of our sovereignty. Esteemed guests delivered inspiring speeches, reflecting on the words of Mahatma Gandhi: ‘The future depends on what we do in the present.’

Students showcased their love and respect for the nation through captivating dance and music performances, embodying the spirit of ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ and echoing Rabindranath Tagore’s vision of a fearless and enlightened India: ‘Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high.’

The celebration concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of sweets, reinforcing the values of sharing and unity.
We are grateful to everyone who made this day memorable, and we look forward to nurturing the spirit of independence and responsibility in our students.
