The Krishna Janmashtami celebration at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Ahmedabad was a vibrant and heartfelt event, specially organized for the day school students. The entire day was filled with devotion, cultural expressions, and joyful activities, bringing the essence of Lord Krishna’s life to the forefront.
The event began with a beautiful Krishna-themed dance performance by the students of the 1st to 7th class. Their graceful movements and colorful costumes brought the divine stories of Krishna to life, captivating the audience with their talent. Following the dance, the day school students chanted shlokas with precision and devotion, filling the hall with sacred vibrations.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a touching drama based on the bond between Krishna and Sudama. The students portrayed the deep friendship and humility between the two, bringing tears to the eyes of many. The celebration continued with a special Raas dance performance by the 6th class students. Pujya Swamiji then addressed the students with blessing words, sharing an inspiring Krishna story that left the children in awe. The story emphasized the importance of faith, courage, and righteousness, further enriching the spiritual atmosphere of the event.
As a traditional Janmashtami activity, the day school students participated in a thrilling Matki Fod event. The excitement and cheer filled the air as the students worked together to break the pot, symbolizing Krishna’s playful nature. The celebration concluded on a sweet note with Swamiji distributing chocolates to all the students as a blessing, leaving them with a sense of joy and fulfillment.
