Introduction:
Ganesh Chaturthi, a significant festival in the Hindu calendar, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at Swaminarayan Gurukul International School Hostel on September 7, 2024. The occasion marked the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the embodiment of wisdom.
Ganesh Aagman & Aarti:
The celebrations began with the ceremonial arrival of Lord Ganesha, accompanied by chanting and devotional songs. The students and staff gathered around the beautifully decorated idol, offering prayers and performing the traditional Aarti by P.Swamiji.
Ganesh Aagman Yatra:
A grand procession, led by the Saints and followed by students, took place within the school premises, symbolizing the journey of Lord Ganesha’s arrival on earth.
Ganesh Poojan:
Pujya Sadgunpriyadasji Swamiji and students jointly performed the Ganesh Poojan.
Ganesh Chaturthi History:
A special assembly was held, where students learned about the significance and history of Ganesh Chaturthi, understanding the values and teachings associated with the festival by Swamiji.
Tirth & Laddu Prasad Distribution:
The celebrations concluded with the distribution of Panchamrut Tirth and Laddu Prasad by Swamiji, symbolizing the blessings and grace of Lord Ganesha.
