The sacred festival of Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with immense devotion, joy, and enthusiasm at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, where students, saints, teachers, parents, and even alumni came together to welcome Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and bestower of wisdom. The celebration began with a grand welcome procession, as students carried colorful flags, sang devotional songs, and chanted slogans of “Ganpati Bappa Morya!” with boundless energy. Their excitement created a vibrant atmosphere, and just as Ganeshji entered the Gurukul campus, gentle showers of rain began to fall, as if nature itself was offering its welcome to the Lord. This divine coincidence added a sense of purity and spirituality to the celebration and made the arrival even more memorable.

The highlight of the celebration was the beautifully decorated pandal, designed in the form of a divine cave with stone-effect artistry. This year’s theme symbolized strength, stability, and wisdom, reminding everyone of the timeless virtues of Lord Ganesha. The cave-like setting, enhanced with flowers, lights, and traditional designs, created an atmosphere of sanctity that drew every devotee closer to the divine presence. Once the Lord was welcomed, the rituals of Ganesh Puja were performed under the guidance of Pujya Chaturbhuj Swamiji. The puja included every traditional ritual—starting from the abhisheka, where the idol was bathed with sanctified offerings, to the chanting of Vedic mantras, the offering of fruits, flowers, durva grass, and modak, and finally the heartfelt aarti.
