Diwali Celebration at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Gulbarga
The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with great devotion, joy, and enthusiasm at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Gulbarga. This year’s celebration held special significance as it marked the 200th glorious year of the sacred Shiksha Patri, the divine scripture written by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan.
To commemorate this auspicious occasion, the Gurukul family created a magnificent Rangoli with thousands of diyas, symbolizing the eternal light of knowledge, truth, and righteousness that dispels ignorance and darkness.
The divine celebration began in the temple of Ghanshyam Maharaj, adorned with beautiful Vivek Rangoli and artistic diya decorations that filled the temple with a heavenly glow. The idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj shone radiantly amidst the lamps, spreading divine peace and joy all around.
The celebration commenced with a sacred Aarti performed before the deity, followed by melodious Kirtans by the Samiti and Diwali Geet by the students, filling the air with devotion, positivity, and festive cheer. The rhythmic Dhun performed by the students further enhanced the spiritual ambiance, making everyone feel blessed and connected to the divine.
After the temple celebrations, Swamiji blessed all the students and devotees, inspiring them to live a life of discipline, devotion, and divine values. Later, everyone gathered outside to celebrate with lighted crackers, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
The entire Gurukul campus shimmered with joy and divine energy, as students, saints, and devotees came together in unity and celebration.
