Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School in Bengaluru hosted a vital educational initiative under the banner of the “Welfare Movement.” This program was specifically designed to empower our students—the Gurukulites—with the knowledge and awareness needed to navigate the complexities of the modern world, focusing deeply on the dual challenges of Social Media Safety and Drug Abuse prevention.
We were honored to welcome two distinguished guests from the Kumbalgodu Police Station to lead the discourse. Sub-Inspector Shri Chandan Gowda and Police Constable Shri Chikkanna B M shared their professional expertise and real-world experiences, providing our students with a clear understanding of the legal, physical, and psychological consequences of substance abuse. Furthermore, they offered invaluable advice on maintaining a healthy and secure digital footprint in an era dominated by social media.
By bringing law enforcement directly into the classroom, this session bridged the gap between the community and the authorities, fostering an environment of trust and responsibility. The “Welfare Movement” underscores our school’s commitment to not just academic excellence, but to the holistic development and safety of every student. We are proud to take these proactive steps in building a resilient, informed, and drug-free generation.
