At Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, the pre-twelfth students were blessed with a delightful and enriching excursion to Mysuru, thoughtfully arranged as a refreshing beginning before the new academic session. The journey itself was filled with enthusiasm and devotion, as students sang bhajans together on the bus, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere that set a positive tone for the entire day. Teachers and guides accompanied them throughout, ensuring discipline, safety, and joyful participation from everyone.

The first destination was an engaging car museum, where students explored vintage automobiles, classic engineering designs, and rare vehicles from different eras. The visit sparked curiosity about mechanical innovation and automotive history. From there, the group proceeded to the grand Mysore Palace, one of India’s most iconic royal landmarks. Students admired its majestic domes, intricate carvings, royal halls, and historical significance, learning about the heritage of the Wadiyar dynasty and the cultural richness of Karnataka.

After the palace visit, everyone enjoyed a wholesome satvik lunch lovingly arranged for them, featuring paneer curry, chole, fried rice, basmati rice, dal, and other delicious items, followed by a delightful treat of chocolate ice cream that brought smiles to every face. Refreshed and energized, the group continued to a scenic bird sanctuary where they boarded boats and glided across a calm reservoir. During this peaceful ride, students witnessed fascinating wildlife such as crocodiles basking near the water, elegant swans, and many species of birds soaring gracefully overhead. The experience allowed them to appreciate nature closely and understand the importance of preserving wildlife habitats.

The adventure continued as they explored another animal area where they observed various creatures including rabbits, cows, horses, and ostriches. Under careful supervision, some students even held snakes, turning the moment into an unforgettable hands-on learning experience about reptiles and biodiversity. Their excitement grew as they shared reactions, photographs, and laughter with friends and teachers.

Later in the evening, snacks of crispy samosas with ketchup were served, giving everyone a pleasant break before the spiritual segment of the trip. As dusk approached, the group gathered together to perform aarti and evening pooja, maintaining their devotional routine even while traveling. The prayers created a serene environment filled with gratitude and unity.

Dinner was equally satisfying, consisting of naan, sabji, pulao, and sweet gulab jamun to conclude the day on a happy note. After completing all activities, the students boarded the bus and began their return journey, sharing stories, singing, and reflecting on the wonderful experiences they had gained. Upon reaching campus, they rested peacefully, hearts full of joy and minds enriched with knowledge, memories, and inspiration from a trip that perfectly blended spirituality, education, nature, and fun.
