29 Students Complete Dharna Parna Fasting & Sahaj Vrat

Published On: August 10, 2026

At Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, the sacred Chaturmas became a profound journey of Tapasya, discipline, devotion, and self-restraint as 29 students completed their Niyam of Dharna-Parna and Sahaj Vrat with unwavering determination.

Dharna-Parna — observing fasting on one day and taking food on the next — demanded immense physical discipline and spiritual strength. Alongside this, Sahaj Vrat — taking food only once a day — became a powerful practice of controlling the senses and strengthening the mind.

Through these days of Tapasya, the students demonstrated that true strength is not merely found in physical endurance, but in the ability to discipline one’s desires and remain steadfast in one’s spiritual resolve.

Their completion of these sacred vows during Chaturmas stands as an inspiring example of faith, determination, and devotion — proving that when the mind is guided by dharma, even the most challenging vows become a path toward inner strength.

A journey of fasting became a journey of faith.
A vow of discipline became a victory of the soul.

29 students. One sacred resolve. An inspiring triumph of Tapasya.
