Vartaman Diksha for Day School Students by Pujya Mahant Swamiji

With hearts filled with joy, devotion, and reverence, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Jadcherla was blessed by the divine presence of Pujya Mahant Swamiji. His arrival filled the entire campus with an atmosphere of peace, spirituality, and divine energy, inspiring students and staff with His presence and blessings.

By the divine grace of Pujya Mahant Swamiji, all the Day School students had the sacred opportunity to receive Vartaman Diksha at the Saint Ashram. This auspicious ceremony marked a beautiful beginning towards a life of purity, discipline, devotion, and spiritual values.

With deep faith and reverence, the students came before Swamiji, performed pranam and sought His divine blessings. Swamiji lovingly blessed each student and personally placed the Kanthi around their neck, symbolizing their connection with Bhagwan Swaminarayan and their commitment to a spiritually disciplined life.

After receiving the Kanthi and blessings, the students humbly performed Dandvat Pranam to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, expressing their surrender, gratitude, and devotion.

As part of this sacred initiation, the students were guided to accept the Panch Vartamans — five sacred vows that inspire a life rooted in purity and discipline:

1️⃣ Never consume alcohol.
2️⃣ Never consume non-vegetarian food.
3️⃣ Never steal—under any circumstances.
4️⃣ Should not commit adultery.
5️⃣ Do not consume impure food.

📜 Vartaman Diksha Mantra

‘काल माया पाप कर्म यमदूत भयादहम्,
स्वामिनारायणं देवं प्रपन्नोऽस्मि स पातु माम्।’

I take refuge in Bhagwan Swaminarayan. May He liberate me from the fear of Kal (Time), Maya (Illusion), Sin, Karma, Yamadut (Agents of Death), and Evil. May He protect me.

The sacred atmosphere of the Prayer Hall resonated with Vedic mantras, Swaminarayan Mahamantra, divine music, and devotional prayers, making the occasion deeply spiritual and memorable.

The day became a beautiful milestone in the lives of the Day School students—a moment where faith was strengthened, values were embraced, and a new spiritual journey began under the divine blessings of Pujya Mahant Swamiji.
