Krishna Janmashtami Celebration | Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School

At Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, a grand and spiritually vibrant Krishna Janmashtami celebration was held on 4th September 2026, bringing together devotion, culture, wisdom, music, and joyous celebration in honour of the divine birth of Bhagwan Shri Krishna. The sacred evening unfolded as a magnificent journey of Bhakti and celebration, creating an atmosphere filled with divine remembrance and festive joy.

The celebration began with a soulful Kirtan Bhakti Sandhya, followed by the recitation of Bhagavad Gita Shlokas, inspiring everyone with the timeless wisdom of Bhagwan Shri Krishna. The little children added innocence and charm through their delightful dance performances, while a special Charitra Video presented the divine life and inspiring character of Bhagwan Shri Krishna. The Little Krishna Drama – Krishna Aur Kans brought the divine story to life on stage, portraying the triumph of righteousness over evil. The evening continued with the 10th and 12th Dance performances, a devotional quiz/video segment, and a heartwarming Sudama Drama.

The spirit of celebration reached new heights with the exciting Raas Competition, followed by an inspiring Kathavarta by Pujya Swamiji (Tirth Swamiji). At the sacred moment of Krishna Janma, Maha Puja was performed, followed by the joyous celebration of “Nand Gher Anand Bhayo.” The winning Raas teams then participated in the traditional Mataki Phod, adding energy and excitement to the divine festivities. The celebration culminated in a magnificent Group Raas, where all the students came together in devotion and joy, followed by closing remarks.
