On the 25th of November, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore was very privileged to have a very great source of motivation Mr. Ravi Shetty, who is the source of inspiration and the man behind one of the best kabaddi teams in India, U- Mumba.
He believed that the students taking part in the upcoming GO2019 are blessed to be a part of such an event in which even though a team loses, they still possess the sportsman spirit to return back with their heads held high. He also said that as a child he was unable to get the opportunity to pursue his sports due to the hardships he faced at that time but even then he overcame the difficulties and broke free of the restraints holding him back, he eventually coached the U-Mumba team to victory in the 2015 championship as they played off against the Bengaluru Bulls in the finals.
He was very appreciative of how the children of this era were able to pursue their dreams and ambitions in sports. He believes that with sports as a medium, children can explore new paths through which they can achieve their passion. It is said that,
