Uttarayan at SGIS: A Celebration of Creativity, Culture and Joy
Today, at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School (SGIS), Nikol, Ahmedabad, we joyfully celebrated the Kite Festival (Uttarayan) with enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers.
To make the celebration meaningful and engaging for all age groups, a variety of age-appropriate activities were thoughtfully planned:
Classes 1 to 3: Colouring activities based on kite-themed illustrations
Classes 4 and 5: Creative kite-making sessions
Classes 6 to 9: Kite-flying activity in the open ground
The event witnessed active involvement from students as well as faculty members, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere across the campus. As a mark of encouragement and appreciation, the Top 3 performers from Classes 1 to 5 were selected and acknowledged for their creativity and efforts.
The celebration filled the school with colours, joy, and excitement, allowing students to experience the spirit of Pre-Uttarayan in a safe, structured, and joyful learning environment.
At SGIS, we continue to blend cultural values with experiential learning to nurture the holistic development of our students.
