79th Independence Day Celebration

At Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, the 79th Independence Day of India was celebrated with deep patriotism, cultural richness, and spiritual blessings. The day’s program blended the pride of our nation with the values of our Gurukul.

The celebration began with a warm welcome to our esteemed Chief Guest, an Army Major with 25 years of distinguished service in the armed forces, accompanied by two army personnel.

Spiritual Beginning

Pujya Tirthswarupdasji Swamiji, Pujya Harivandan Swamiji, and Pujya Nityaswaroop Swamiji, along with the Chief Guest, performed the pooja of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan, seeking divine blessings for the country and its citizens.

Flag Hoisting Ceremony

After the pooja, the Chief Guest and Swamijis proceeded to the flag post. The tricolor was unfurled, and as it waved proudly in the morning breeze, the National Anthem was sung by all students and staff, creating a moment of unity and pride.

Inspirational Speeches

The Chief Guest delivered a motivational speech, sharing experiences from his service in the army and encouraging students to be disciplined, courageous, and dedicated citizens.
Pujya Swamijis then addressed the gathering, blending patriotic values with spiritual wisdom, reminding everyone that true freedom comes with responsibility and moral living.

Cultural Program Highlights

The cultural segment reflected India’s diversity, student creativity, and the Gurukul’s dedication to holistic education.

Dance Performances

10 Forest Class – Presented a lively folk dance representing India’s rural heritage, with colorful attire and rhythmic beats, showcasing unity in diversity.

2nd Aqua Class – Gave a sweet and joyful patriotic dance, holding mini tricolor flags, their innocence lighting up the stage.

8th Desert Class – Performed a powerful patriotic fusion, mixing martial-style movements with graceful formations, symbolizing the bravery of Indian soldiers.

3rd Aqua Class – Showcased a graceful dance to a soulful patriotic song, using soft hand gestures and flowing movements to portray peace and love for the nation.

4th Aqua Class – Delivered a vibrant and energetic performance blending folk steps with a modern twist, representing India’s cultural vibrancy.

9th Aqua Class – Staged an intense, expressive dance narrating India’s journey from struggle to freedom, leaving the audience deeply moved.

7th Class – Closed the dance section with a grand finale, combining patriotic music, synchronized steps, and creative group formations that earned loud applause.

Group Songs

Classes 2, 3, 4, 5 – Performed a melodious song about India’s unity, their innocent voices touching hearts.

Classes 6, 7, 8 – Sang a high-energy patriotic anthem, filling the hall with enthusiasm and pride.

Classes 9 to 12 – Rendered a soulful song dedicated to India’s progress and future, creating a sense of hope and inspiration.

Speeches

Kannada Speech – A student delivered a heartfelt speech in Kannada, honoring Karnataka’s cultural contribution to India’s freedom.

Hindi Speech – Spoke about India’s freedom struggle and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, stirring patriotic emotions.

English Speech – Focused on India’s growth, challenges, and the role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.

Special Acts

Ramp Walk (Classes 1 & 2) – The youngest students walked the stage dressed as iconic national leaders, freedom fighters, and cultural figures, delighting the audience.

Pyramids:

8th Class – Built a sturdy pyramid showcasing teamwork and balance, topped with a waving tricolor flag.

9 Berry Class – Formed a creative pyramid formation that resembled India’s map outline.

Classes 9 to 11 – Performed an advanced multi-layered pyramid, ending with a salute to the flag, earning huge cheers.

Closing

The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the School Captain, expressing gratitude to the Swamijis, the Chief Guest, teachers, parents, and all participants for making the day special. The atmosphere remained charged with patriotic spirit as students returned with pride in their hearts and blessings from Swamiji.
