A Divine Raksha Bandhan Celebration

At Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, on 28th August 2026, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in a unique and spiritually meaningful manner. Rather than being limited to the traditional celebration between brothers and sisters, the occasion became an expression of devotion and divine connection, as Rakhi was lovingly offered to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, our beloved Maharaj.

Pujya Swamijis blessed the occasion by tying Rakhi to Maharaj and then lovingly tying Rakhi to the students, staff members, and devotees of Gurukul. This beautiful gesture symbolised the sacred bond of protection, devotion, and belonging between the devotees and their beloved Guru and Maharaj.

The celebration concluded with everyone receiving peanut chikki as Prasad, adding sweetness to an already memorable occasion. The divine Raksha Bandhan celebration reminded everyone that true protection lies in remaining connected to God, Guru, and the path of devotion.
