Alumni Get-together 2024 - Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore recently organized a heartwarming alumni get-together, bringing together former students for a day filled with devotion, celebration, and nostalgia. As the alumni arrived, they first paid their respects by getting darshan of Bhagwan and receiving blessings from the saints. In a meaningful gesture, the saints tied raksha sutras on the alumni and presented them with kanthi malas and prasad. This spiritual start set the tone for the day’s events, allowing the alumni to reconnect with the values and traditions that shaped their lives. Each student also took the opportunity to click individual photos with Swamiji, preserving memories of this special occasion.

The event officially began with an inaugural ceremony at the temple, followed by a fun and engaging ice-breaking session. The ‘Pick and Speak’ event allowed the alumni to open up, share memories, and reconnect with old friends. The next highlight of the day was a career seminar led by Mahek Shah, a successful Gurukul alumnus, who provided valuable insights into professional growth. The seminar concluded with a dynamic question-and-answer session, where alumni eagerly sought advice on shaping their careers, making the session both informative and inspiring.

Pujya Krishncharandasji Swamiji graced the event with his divine presence and offered blessings to all the alumni. His motivational words reminded them of the importance of staying grounded in the teachings of Gurukul as they navigate through life. The most exciting part of the day, however, was the ‘Matki Fod’ event, a traditional game that had everyone cheering and participating with great enthusiasm. The joy and energy from this event were palpable, as it brought back memories of fun-filled days at Gurukul.

The alumni were treated to a delicious lunch, featuring all their favorite dishes, making it a delightful trip down memory lane. Post-lunch, the day continued with various games, including tug of war, arm wrestling, swimming, cricket, and raas, which encouraged friendly competition and camaraderie among the former students. The day concluded on a sweet note as Swamiji distributed ice cream prasad, sending the alumni home with a sense of fulfillment and joy after a day well spent at their beloved Gurukul.
