Gurukul International School Bangalore recently hosted a meaningful academic event to commemorate Makar Sankranti. The event, titled “Makar Sankranti Trip,” was held on January 14, 2024, and focused on the theme of “Gau Pujan” (cow worship). Students from the 10th grade participated in various activities designed to cultivate compassion, recognize emotions, and develop a sense of empathy.

The event was judged by esteemed Swamis, Tirthswarupdasji Swami and Harivallabhdasji Swami, who assessed the students’ performance based on their ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and understanding. The activities included caring for cows, learning about their significance in Hindu culture, and engaging in thoughtful discussions about emotional intelligence.

By participating in this event, students not only gained valuable academic knowledge but also developed essential life skills that align with the school’s core values. The Makar Sankranti Trip was a testament to Gurukul International School’s commitment to fostering holistic development and nurturing compassionate individuals.
