Devotion at Home Sweet Home

Published On: July 20, 2026

At Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, hostel students were given a three-day holiday titled Home Sweet Home, allowing them to spend quality time with their families. Before the students left the campus, the Pujya Swamijis guided them to continue following the Gurukul way of life while at home. They encouraged every student to perform their daily puja, chant the Swaminarayan mahamantra, read spiritual scriptures, maintain discipline, respect and serve their parents, and uphold good values throughout the holiday.

The holiday gave students an opportunity to reconnect with their families while remaining steadfast in their spiritual practices. They were encouraged to participate in family prayers, visit nearby mandirs, practice seva, and apply the teachings and values they have learned at Gurukul in their daily lives.

Home Sweet Home served as a reminder that the principles of Gurukul are not limited to the school campus but should be practiced wherever students go. By balancing family time with devotion and discipline, students made their holiday both joyful and spiritually meaningful, reflecting the ideals of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul in their own homes.
