Holi Celebration at Sri Swaminarayan Gurukul International School
On the auspicious occasion of Holi on 14th March, Sri Swaminarayan Gurukul International School came alive with vibrant colors and spiritual devotion. The celebration began with beautiful decorations adorning the temple, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and reverence. The idols of Bhagwan Swaminarayan were gracefully adorned, and an array of sacred items was carefully placed before Maharaj as a mark of devotion and respect.
The entire Gurukul family gathered in the temple, where Swamiji’s divine presence elevated the spiritual atmosphere. Swamiji led the assembly with the first and second Holi Kirtans, which resonated with the deep essence of devotion and the spirit of the festival. This was followed by the chanting of Dhun, filling the temple with divine vibrations and spiritual energy.
After the kirtans, Swamiji performed the ritual of Holi, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and the burning away of negativity. Swamiji then participated in the joyous act of playing Holi at Vartal, a tradition that reflects the leelas of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the spirit of unity and love. Swamiji lovingly applied Holi tika on the foreheads and cheeks of the devotees, symbolizing blessings and protection from Bhagwan. Finally, Swamiji distributed Prasad, sanctifying the gathering and imparting divine grace upon everyone present.
This Holi celebration not only immersed everyone in festive joy but also strengthened the spiritual connection with Bhagwan Swaminarayan, reminding all of the eternal message of purity, unity, and devotion.
