Gurukul Bangalore’s Spiritual Visit to Dr. K. Kasturirangan

In a heartfelt gesture of devotion and care, saints from Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore visited the residence of Dr. K. Kasturirangan, who is currently facing critical health challenges with his heart functioning at only 10%. Understanding the gravity of the situation, the saints sought to bring spiritual comfort and divine blessings to him and his family.

As a symbol of divine grace and protection, the saints ceremoniously placed a sacred murti of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the family’s home temple. This sacred act was accompanied by a solemn recitation of the Janmangal of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, filling the atmosphere with spiritual energy and peace. Following the chanting, Swamiji administered Prasad water, sanctified by Bhagwan Swaminarayan, into Dr. Kasturirangan’s mouth as a sacred blessing for healing and peace.

To further strengthen his spiritual connection, the saints presented him with a Mala (holy rosary) and a Shiksha Patri (scriptural guidance) from Bhagwan Swaminarayan. This offering symbolized divine strength and protection, providing comfort and reinforcing faith during this difficult time.

The visit concluded with a heartfelt prayer session where the saints prayed for Dr. Kasturirangan’s well-being and inner peace. A video call was also made to SatsangPriya Dasji Swamiji, who extended his blessings and spiritual guidance, further strengthening the spiritual support offered to Dr. Kasturirangan and his family.

This compassionate visit reflected the deep spiritual bond between Gurukul and Dr. Kasturirangan, emphasizing the profound strength and solace that faith and devotion bring in life’s most challenging moments.

Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan is a renowned scientist and visionary leader who played a pivotal role in advancing India’s space program. He served as Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Chairman of the Space Commission, and Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Space. Under his leadership, ISRO achieved significant milestones, including the operationalization of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the successful testing of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV). He also oversaw the development of the Indian National Satellite (INSAT-2) series and Indian Remote Sensing Satellites (IRS-1A & 1B).

An astrophysicist by training, Dr. Kasturirangan has contributed extensively to high-energy X-ray and gamma-ray astronomy. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan, and is a member of several esteemed scientific academies in India and abroad.
