Diwali Celebration at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Bangalore

The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with immense devotion and enthusiasm at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Bangalore. This year’s celebration carried a special significance as it marked the completion of 200 glorious years of the sacred Shiksha Patri. To honor this occasion, the Gurukul family created a magnificent Rangoli using 10,000 diyas, symbolizing the eternal light of wisdom and righteousness.

The divine celebration continued in the temple of Ghanshyam Maharaj, where a beautiful Vivek Rangoli and artistic diya decorations were arranged. The temple glowed with divine radiance, and Ghanshyam Maharaj’s idol looked adorable amidst the flickering lamps. The event began with a heartfelt Aarti performed before the deity, filling the air with devotion. This was followed by Kirtans by Samiti and Diwali Geet by students, creating an atmosphere of joy, spirituality, and unity.

The rhythmic Dhun performed by the students added to the blissful ambiance, and every devotee felt deeply blessed. All students then sought blessings from Swamiji and Ghanshyam Maharaj, experiencing moments of peace and gratitude.

As the evening progressed, Swamiji, along with the students and devotees, moved outside to celebrate by lighting crackers, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and the removal of negativity from life. The entire campus sparkled with divine energy and happiness.

Thus, Diwali at Gurukul became a perfect blend of devotion, discipline, celebration, and spirituality, leaving behind unforgettable memories for everyone present.
