Murti Pratishtha at Alumni House

Published On: January 23, 2024

Manoj SS, a distinguished Kannada professional singer and renowned voice artist, is an alumnus of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, hailing from Channaraypatna, Hassan, Karnataka, India. During his time at Gurukul, Manoj engaged deeply in seva (service) to Ghanshyam Maharaj, which fostered a profound spiritual connection with both Ghanshyam Maharaj and the Swamijis.

Following his significant success in his professional career, Manoj felt a strong desire to honor Bhagwan Swaminarayan by establishing a grand Simhasan (throne) at his home and installing a Murti (idol) of Ghanshyam Maharaj. On January 23, 2024, the Murti Pratishtha (installation) ceremony was conducted with great devotion. The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed saints, including Pujya Krishnacharandasji Swamiji, Pujya Satsangpriyadasji Swamiji, Pujya Sadgunpriydasji Swami, Pujya Tirthswarupdasji Swamiji, Krishnamurtidasji Swamiji, Darshanpriydasji Swamiji, and Narayan Bhagatji.

The event included traditional rituals such as Mahapooja, Annakoot (a grand food offering), Aarti (ritual of light), and Kirtan Bhakti (devotional singing). Following these sacred rites, the saints were served an afternoon meal (Prasad) at Manoj’s home, which he personally prepared and served as a Brahmin. The ceremony concluded with the saints blessing Manoj with the pious footprints of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

Currently, Manoj is dedicated to performing the complete seva and puja (worship) of the Murti of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in his home, adorning it daily with new dresses and ornaments. He shares the darshan (sacred sight) of the Murti on Instagram, spreading the spiritual influence and creating a devotional impact in the community. His ongoing devotion to Ghanshyam Maharaj exemplifies his commitment to nurturing and sharing his spiritual connection with others.
