Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore recently held a Rakhi-making competition as part of the Raksha Bandhan celebrations. This event allowed students to express their creativity and devotion by crafting beautiful Rakhis using various decorative materials. The competition saw enthusiastic participation, with students pouring their hearts into designing Rakhis that not only reflected their artistic skills but also their cultural and spiritual values.

After the competition, the most exquisite Rakhi was chosen by the judges for its creativity, craftsmanship, and symbolic representation. This best Rakhi was then offered to Ghanshyam Maharaj, the divine child form of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, as a mark of devotion and love. Offering the Rakhi to Ghanshyam Maharaj was a deeply spiritual gesture, symbolizing the students’ reverence and their bond with the divine.

This sacred offering added a profound spiritual dimension to the Rakhi-making competition, turning it into a meaningful ritual that connected the students with their faith and traditions. The event not only celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan but also reinforced the values of devotion, creativity, and cultural heritage within the Gurukul community.
