Teachers’ Day at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore was celebrated in a joyful and unique way, with students stepping into the roles of their favorite teachers, Swamiji, wardens, and management staff for the day. The festivities began with students assigned as wardens waking up their peers and ensuring everyone was prepared for the morning pooja, blending fun with responsibility. During study periods, a role reversal took place, where teachers became students, and children took charge of the classes. This playful switch brought laughter and a fresh perspective for everyone.
The school assembly was a highlight, as teachers and students completely switched roles. Teachers behaved like students, while children acted as the principal, coordinators, and other staff members. During the assembly, the principal and coordinators, portrayed by students, led the pooja, and Swamiji presented gifts to all the teachers, expressing gratitude for their hard work and dedication. Afterward, students took over the classrooms while the main teachers enjoyed a break, playing a friendly game of cricket, adding a fun and relaxing element to the day.
The celebration included thoughtful gestures, such as a special traditional South Indian lunch prepared and served by the students for their beloved teachers. A touching video presentation showcased memorable moments shared between teachers and students, leaving many teachers emotional. The event concluded with a showcase of teachers’ talents, where they sang, played instruments, and even danced, bringing joy to everyone. Students also handed over letters of appreciation, expressing their heartfelt gratitude, making the day truly memorable for all.
