Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School came alive with festive colors and cultural enthusiasm as we joyfully celebrated the auspicious festival of Makar Sankranti πΌβ¨. The celebration beautifully reflected Indiaβs rich traditions while spreading awareness about the significance of this harvest festival, which marks the sunβs transition into Makara (Capricorn) and symbolizes new beginnings, positivity, and prosperity ππ.
To make the celebration more engaging, a Rangoli Competition for parents was organized π¨πΈ, where creativity met tradition. Parents enthusiastically showcased vibrant rangoli designs inspired by nature, harvest, and festive themes, strengthening the bond between family, culture, and the Gurukul community π€π.
Adding excitement to the day, students participated in kite flying activities πͺπ, filling the sky with colorful kites and cheerful laughter. Through this activity, students learned about the cultural importance of kite flying during Makar Sankranti and the values of joy, teamwork, and celebration with responsibility ππ.
