Be a Data Detective!
Class: VII A | Subject: Mathematics | Topic: Data Handling
Students of Class: VII A stepped into the shoes of young mathematicians in an engaging activity called “Be a Data Detective!” Designed to make data handling fun and practical, this activity helped students explore how to collect, organize, and interpret data from real-life scenarios.
They selected topics such as favorite fruit, mode of transport, or favorite hobby, gathered data from 20 classmates, and represented it using bar graphs or pie charts. Working individually or in teams, they answered questions based on their graphs and interpreted the results with confidence.
A few teams also presented their charts to the class, showcasing their understanding and communication skills.
📌 Learning Highlights:
Real-time data collection
Visual representation through graphs
Building analytical and teamwork skills
This interactive session brought mathematics to life—showing how numbers tell a story!
