On February 9, 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Gulbarga, organized the Matru Pitru Vandana ceremony, a heartfelt tribute to parents, celebrating the values of love, respect, and gratitude. The event was attended by a large gathering of parents, students, teachers, and esteemed saints from the Gurukul tradition.

The program began with a traditional welcome and a spiritual discourse by a revered saint, emphasizing the importance of parental blessings in shaping a child’s character and future. Students then performed padyapuja, where they washed their parents’ feet, garlanded them, and sought their blessings. As this deeply emotional ritual unfolded, many parents and students shed tears of love and gratitude, overwhelmed by the profound significance of the moment.

The event also featured heart-touching kirtans by students, expressing their appreciation and devotion towards their parents. The atmosphere was filled with love, respect, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude, as many parents, moved by their children’s heartfelt gestures, were seen wiping their tears.

An interactive session followed, where parents and children engaged in meaningful conversations about family values, discipline, and the role of parents in a child’s success. The saint further enlightened the audience with an inspiring discourse, reinforcing the teachings of Indian culture and the Gurukul tradition.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the school, staff, and volunteers in organizing such a spiritually uplifting and emotionally enriching program.
