Spelling Antakshari Ignites

On 11th June 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Gulbarga hosted a unique and intellectually engaging cultural event titled Spelling Antakshari, which brought together students and teachers in a vibrant celebration of language, learning, and culture.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of classes V to IX, who showcased their spelling skills in an exciting antakshari-style competition. This innovative format combined the fun of musical antakshari with the academic challenge of spelling, making it both entertaining and educational. Students were divided into teams and competed by spelling words in sequence, fostering quick thinking, teamwork, and vocabulary enrichment.

The highlight of the event was a standout performance by Master Kaniskh, who confidently spelled one of the world’s longest and most complex words. His sharp memory and accuracy not only impressed the audience but also led his team to a well-deserved victory, earning loud applause and admiration from peers and staff alike.

The occasion was graced by Principal Sir and Biology Sir, who addressed the gathering with inspiring speeches. They emphasized the significance of integrating academic excellence with cultural events, highlighting how such programs foster creativity, communication, and confidence among students. Their encouraging words left a lasting impression, motivating students to continue embracing both learning and tradition.
