To mark the significance of World Environment Day, our school conducted a series of meaningful and inspiring activities on June 5th, 2025, with the central theme of fostering love and responsibility towards Mother Earth.
The day commenced with a special assembly, where students from various grades presented speeches highlighting the importance of environmental protection, climate awareness, and sustainable living. The assembly served as a platform for students to voice their thoughts on current environmental challenges and encouraged everyone to take small but impactful steps to protect nature.
As part of the celebration, students also showcased their creativity and research through an engaging PowerPoint presentation. The presentation covered topics such as the impact of pollution, benefits of afforestation, the importance of biodiversity, and simple habits for an eco-friendly lifestyle. It was heartening to see young minds speak so passionately about the future of our planet.
One of the most touching moments of the day was the sapling plantation drive. Students brought a variety of saplings from home and enthusiastically planted them within the school premises under the guidance of teachers and staff. The activity instilled a deep sense of connection with nature and encouraged the students to become young environmental stewards.
This collective celebration not only created awareness but also planted seeds of responsibility, discipline, and care in the minds of our young Gurukulites. With such values being nurtured in our students, the future indeed looks greener and brighter.
