196th Shraddh Utsav of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan

With immense joy and devotion, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Jadcherla, observed the 196th Shraddh Utsav of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan on 5th October 2026. The occasion brought together students, staff, devotees, and visitors in an atmosphere of devotion, remembrance, and gratitude.

The students collectively participated in special devotion Kirtan & Dhun, learning the significance of Shraddh and the importance of remembering and expressing gratitude towards our ancestors. Pujya Swamiji also explained the spiritual significance of Shraddh, guiding the students to understand its place in the Sanatan tradition.

Although Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan is divine and beyond the cycle of birth and death, the Gurukul continues the tradition of observing Shraddh as part of the Sanatan Dharma legacy—to remember our ancestors, honour their contribution, and cultivate gratitude in the younger generation.

The Shraddh Utsav concluded with all participants offering their prayers and accepting Prasad together, making the occasion a meaningful experience of devotion, togetherness, and gratitude.
