Karokanya Temple Visit

Published On: July 28, 2024

In a serene and soul-stirring pilgrimage, the 9th and 10th standard students of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School embarked on a transformative visit to the revered Karokanya Mandir. Guided by the benevolent presence of respected Swamiji, PP Muktavallabhdas Ji Swami, these young minds immersed themselves in spirituality, culture, and devotion.

The sprawling 35-acre campus of our school, nestled amidst lush greenery, provided the perfect backdrop for this sacred excursion. Students from 23 states across India and seven countries came together, united by their shared pursuit of Indian values and wisdom.

As the sun rose, echoing the ancient rhythms of time, the students gathered for morning pooja at 5:30 AM. The prayer hall reverberated with the Swaminarayan Mahamantra, filling the air with divine vibrations. Devotional songs and hymns uplifted their spirits, creating a paradise within the gurukul’s walls.

Evenings were equally enchanting, as holy saints led prayers focused on strengthening values. But it wasn’t just rituals—the gurukul’s holistic blend of Vidya (modern education), Sadvidya (traditional education), and Brahmavidya (spiritual education) shaped these young hearts. They imbibed gratitude, empathy, integrity, and non-violence, while also nurturing curiosity, creativity, and leadership.

The Karokanya Mandir visit became a milestone—a bridge connecting ancient wisdom with contemporary learning. Students learned not only from textbooks but also from the living example of Swamiji. His teachings on faith, devotion, self-realization, and affection for saints left an indelible mark on their souls.
