On Day 2 of the English Week at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Vijayawada, a Story Narration competition was held to enhance students’ storytelling abilities and language skills. Students from different grades participated, narrating both original and well-known stories in English. The use of props and costumes was encouraged to make the storytelling more engaging.
The judging criteria included clarity, pronunciation, expression, creativity, engagement, and overall presentation. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing a diverse range of stories, from moral tales to adventurous narratives. Some participants even used multimedia presentations to complement their stories.
The event concluded with winners selected from each category, who were awarded certificates and prizes. The Story Narration competition not only built confidence among students but also highlighted the importance of storytelling in language development, making it a significant part of the English Week celebrations at the Gurukul.
