On 17-08-2024 the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysore, organized a Rakhi Making Activity for students from Grades 1 to 3. The activity was designed to celebrate the bond of love and protection between siblings and to instill cultural values in young students.
The young students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and imagination as they crafted beautiful rakhis using a variety of materials such as colorful threads, beads, glitter, and sequins. Teachers guided the students through the process, encouraging them to experiment with different designs and patterns.
The activity provided a hands-on learning experience, allowing the students to develop their fine motor skills while also understanding the cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan. The joy and pride on their faces as they completed their rakhis were truly heartwarming.
At the end of the activity, the students displayed their creations, and the best rakhis were recognized with special mentions. The event not only helped the students connect with their cultural heritage but also fostered a sense of creativity and community within the school.
