On 31st August 2024, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, near Mysore, celebrated Ghanshyam Vegan Day with great enthusiasm and educational value. The event was designed to instill the students’ appreciation for plant-based diets and sustainable farming practices.

As part of the celebration, students dressed up as farmers and set up a vibrant vegetable market on our campus. They actively participated in selling fresh vegetables, giving them a practical experience in understanding the processes of buying and selling. This hands-on activity allowed the students to learn valuable lessons in commerce, communication, and the importance of supporting local agriculture.

The event was warmly supported by the parents, who not only encouraged their children but also actively engaged in the vegetable market, creating a lively and authentic atmosphere. Their involvement greatly contributed to the success of the event and provided a wonderful example of community support in education.
