On 2nd October 2024, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysuru, celebrated Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti, paying tribute to these revered leaders and their enduring values of truth, non-violence, and selfless service. The event began with a heartfelt introduction by Mr. Nataraj, who skillfully served as the Master of Ceremony, guiding the program with poise and respect.
The ceremony included a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, where his lifelong commitment to truth and non-violence was highlighted, encouraging students with the help of the teaching community to embrace these principles. The assembly also honored former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, remembering his famous slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ and his dedication to the nation.
Principal Shriharsha Joshi, Academic Coordinator Mr. Satish, and Assistant Director Mr. Bharat Chavda addressed the audience, sharing insights into the lasting influence of Gandhi and Shastri’s teachings. With all staff in attendance, the event concluded with a collective vow to uphold these leaders’ timeless values, inspiring a deepened sense of unity and patriotism among faculty alike.
