Welfare Movement
On 28th September 2024, students from Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysuru, visited Chiguru Ashrama, Koorgalli, Mysuru themed “Touching Lives, Spreading Smiles.” This initiative aimed to foster compassion and social responsibility among students while supporting those in need.
During the visit, students donated essential items such as toiletries, bedspreads, fruits, and biscuits, all collected with love and care. The atmosphere at Chiguru Ashrama was filled with heartfelt emotions as students interacted with the residents, sharing smiles and moments of connection that transcended words. Gurukul teachers were present to witness the meaningful interactions, providing guidance and support throughout the event.
In-house Principal Shriharsha Joshi also interacted with the children, encouraging them to engage meaningfully with the residents. The purpose of the visit was fulfilled as the students embraced the values of empathy and service. Afterward, the students gathered to reflect on their experiences, expressing their thoughts and emotions. Many shared how the day opened their eyes to the struggles faced by others and the importance of kindness in everyday life. This meaningful experience touched the lives of those at Chiguru Ashrama and inspired the students to become more compassionate individuals, leaving a lasting impact on both the givers and the receivers.
