The students of Grades 4 and 5 at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysuru, showcased their creativity and teamwork during the Multigrain Art Project and the Vegetable & Fruit Carving Activity. These engaging events were designed to enhance artistic skills and foster awareness of healthy eating through hands-on experiences.

The Multigrain Art Project invited students to create beautiful patterns and images using different types of grains like rice, lentils, and wheat. With vibrant colors and imaginative designs, the students transformed simple grains into stunning masterpieces. The activity emphasized the importance of using natural materials and highlighted the diversity of grains as a symbol of nutrition and sustainability.

The Vegetable & Fruit Carving Activity took creativity to the next level. Students skillfully carved fruits like Bananas, apples, Kiwi, and oranges, as well as vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, and pumpkins, into intricate designs and shapes. From floral patterns to miniature animal figures, the carved creations reflected the students’ attention to detail and artistic flair. Teachers guided the children in safe handling techniques while sharing fun facts about the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables.

These activities nurtured the students’ artistic talents and also reinforced valuable life lessons about healthy eating and sustainable practices. The event concluded with a display of the student’s artwork and carvings, earning applause from teachers and peers alike. Such initiatives inspire young minds to think creatively and appreciate the beauty of nature in everyday items.
