On 30th April 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Mysore, held a sacred Foundation Stone Ceremony to commence construction of its much-anticipated New Hostel Building, marking a significant step in its continued growth and development.
The auspicious event began with Vedic rituals and prayers led by Pujya Nityswaroopdasji Swami, Pujya Harivandandasji Swami, Pujya Tirthswaroopdasji Swami, and Pujya Vishwadarshandasji Swami, along with other revered saints. Their divine presence and blessings invoked spiritual grace for the successful completion of the project. The foundation stone was laid by the Swamijis themselves, amidst the chanting of mantras and traditional ceremonies.
The new hostel building is designed to accommodate 950 students, offering a comfortable, disciplined, and spiritually enriched residential environment. This addition will complement the existing day school capacity of 1000 students, bringing the total student strength to 1950.
This development marks the beginning of the residential education era at Gurukul Mysore, enabling students from various regions to stay, learn, and grow in a value-based environment that blends Vidya (modern education), Sadvidya (traditional values), and Brahmavidya (spiritual wisdom).
The event inspired parents, students, and well-wishers alike, reaffirming Gurukul’s commitment to nurturing character, competence, and culture through world-class infrastructure and holistic education.
