Initiating Knowledge and Discovering Interests: Aksharabhyas & Ruchi Pariksha at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Navi Mumbai

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul recently organized a spiritually enriching event of Aksharabhyas and Ruchi Pariksha for the students stepping into the world of education for the very first time.

The event began with Ganesh Pujan and Saraswati Pujan, invoking the blessings of the deities to remove 63obstacles and grant wisdom at the start of this sacred journey. This was followed by the melodious recitation of Swaminarayan Bhagwan’s Janmangal Stotra, filling the atmosphere with divine vibrations and devotion. With hearts full of faith, parents and their children offered prasad to God. In a heartwarming moment, they then lovingly shared that prasad with one another, symbolizing unity and blessings within the Gurukul family.

Swamiji then addressed everyone with an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of beginning education with strong values, discipline, and spiritual grounding. Adding to the sanctity of the occasion, Swamiji personally tied a Rakshakavach, a sacred protective thread, on each new student, offering blessings for strength, focus, and success.

The event concluded with the Ruchi Pariksha, where students engaged in a variety of fun and thoughtful activities to help identify their individual interests and talents.

This event beautifully reflected Gurukul’s commitment to nurturing not just academic learning, but the complete spiritual, emotional, and personal growth of every child from the very first step
