Dear All,
Jay Swaminarayan🙏🦚
*Varalakshmi Vratham* is one of the most sacred and auspicious festivals observed to invoke the blessings of *Sri Varalakshmi Devi, the consort of Lord Vishnu and the embodiment of **Ashta Lakshmis* – the eight forms of wealth and prosperity: Adi Lakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi, Dhairya Lakshmi, Gaja Lakshmi, Santana Lakshmi, Vijaya Lakshmi, Vidya Lakshmi, and Dhana Lakshmi. It is believed that performing this Vratham with faith brings abundance, harmony, health, and spiritual upliftment to the family.
On this blessed day, the female faculty members of *Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Secunderabad, gathered in devotion to celebrate the Vratham in its full traditional glory. The program began with **Ganapathi Puja, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for the removal of obstacles and the successful completion of the rituals. This was followed by the **Kalasha Sthapana* and the main *Sri Varalakshmi Devi Puja, performed with chanting of *Vedic mantras and offering of sacred items, symbolizing purity and prosperity.
As part of the devotional sequence, *Ashtothara Shatanamavali* (108 sacred names of the Goddess) was recited with deep concentration, each name accompanied by the offering of flowers at the feet of the deity. The Puja Committee and Coordinators, *Mrs. Renuka* and *Mrs. Sowmya*, played a pivotal role in leading the pooja vidhi with precision and devotion, ensuring every detail reflected the sanctity of the tradition.
The offerings included *18+ varieties of prasadam, lovingly prepared by the team as a mark of gratitude and devotion. Every female faculty member observed the Vratham with heartfelt **bhakti* towards *Lakshmi Mata, offering prayers for the welfare, prosperity, and happiness of all. The divine darshan of **Lakshmi Mata* filled the atmosphere with peace, joy, and spiritual bliss, making the occasion truly memorable and blessed.
Thank you,
Team – Gutukul – Secunderabad.
