Janmashtami Celebrations at Gurukul Secunderabad
By the divine grace of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan and under the guidance of Pujyapaad Shukhavallabh Dasji Swamiji, Gurukul Secunderabad celebrated the sacred festival of Janmashtami with immense devotion and joy in the august presence of Pujyapaad Harivallabh Dasji Swamiji.
The celebration commenced with heartfelt bhajans and kirtans glorifying the divine leelas of Shree Krishna, filling the atmosphere with spiritual bliss. Students presented graceful dances and cultural programs depicting episodes from the life of Lord Krishna — His childhood pranks, divine miracles, and eternal teachings from the Bhagavad Gita. The traditional Dahi Handi (Pot-Breaking Ceremony) was performed with enthusiasm, symbolizing unity, courage, and the joyous spirit of Krishna’s divine play.
The event was graced by Director Sir, Mr. Ramachandra, and Principal Sir, Mr. Krishna Kishore, whose participation further inspired the students. Teachers, staff, and Gurukulites together offered their devotion, turning the entire campus into a temple of divine celebrations.
In his divine blessings, Pujyapaad Harivallabh Dasji Swamiji beautifully explained the eternal message of Janmashtami — that Krishna’s birth symbolizes the triumph of righteousness over unrighteousness, light over darkness, and truth over falsehood. He guided all to imbibe the values of dharma, seva, and devotion in daily life, making the celebration not just joyous, but spiritually enriching for everyone.
The entire Gurukul campus radiated with bhakti and divine energy throughout the day, creating unforgettable memories and strengthening the bond between the Gurukul family and Lord Krishna’s eternal teachings.
With folded hands,
Team Secunderabad – Gurukul.
