A Divine Night of Devotion and Celebration

The auspicious night of Shri Krishna Janmashtami became truly memorable at the Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Mumbai Hostel, as students and teachers gathered together at midnight on 04 September 2026 to celebrate the divine birth of Bhagwan Shri Krishna.

As the clock approached 12:00 midnight, the entire hostel campus was filled with devotional enthusiasm and spiritual joy. Students eagerly awaited the sacred moment of Bhagwan Shri Krishna’s Janma, creating an atmosphere filled with bhakti, happiness, and anticipation.

At the stroke of midnight, the celebration reached its divine peak. The campus resonated with “Nand Gher Anand Bhayo, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki!” as students and teachers joyfully welcomed the birth of Bal Krishna. Devotional chanting, kirtans, prayers, and the joyful sounds of celebration filled the atmosphere with divine vibrations.

The students participated with great devotion and enthusiasm, offering their heartfelt prayers to Bhagwan Shri Krishna. The beautiful decorations and devotional arrangements prepared for the occasion added to the spiritual charm of the celebration.

The midnight celebration also gave the students a wonderful opportunity to experience the traditional way of celebrating Janmashtami and to understand the significance of Bhagwan Shri Krishna’s divine birth. The joy on the faces of the students reflected their love and devotion towards Bhagwan.

For the hostel students, celebrating Janmashtami together at midnight created a beautiful sense of family, unity, devotion, and togetherness. Teachers and students shared this auspicious moment together, making the occasion even more special and memorable.

The celebration was filled with devotional singing, prayers, joyful chanting, and heartfelt expressions of bhakti, reminding everyone that festivals become truly meaningful when celebrated with devotion and togetherness.

The midnight Janmashtami celebration at the hostel will remain a cherished memory for all the students and teachers—a night when the entire Gurukul family came together with one heart and one feeling to welcome Bal Gopal, Bhagwan Shri Krishna.
