A Sacred Day of Remembrance, Devotion and Seva at Gurukul
The Gurukul community came together today to observe the sacred Shraddh of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, marking the occasion with deep devotion, reverence, and gratitude. The day provided students with an opportunity to experience the beauty of our spiritual traditions and understand the values of remembrance, seva, simplicity, and togetherness.
The atmosphere across the Gurukul was filled with devotion as students and staff participated in the sacred observance with श्रद्धा and respect. Through this occasion, students were encouraged to connect with the timeless values taught by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and to appreciate the importance of preserving our rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
A significant part of the day was the traditional Rasoi, prepared and served as an expression of devotion and seva. Students from across the Gurukul participated in the Rasoi and shared the meal together, creating an atmosphere of joy, unity, and brotherhood. Sitting together and partaking in the traditional meal was not merely a dining experience, but a meaningful opportunity for students to witness and live the values of sharing, humility, discipline, and community.
The day beautifully reflected the unique spirit of Gurukul life — where education extends beyond classrooms and textbooks to include Vidya, Sadvidya, and Brahmavidya. Through such sacred occasions, students learn to respect traditions, value spiritual heritage, serve others with humility, and carry these timeless values into their lives.
The Shraddh observance was therefore not only a day of remembrance but also a day of seva, sanskar, and spiritual togetherness. With devotion in every heart and gratitude in every moment, the Gurukul community came together to honour the sacred occasion and celebrate the enduring values that continue to guide generations of Gurukulites.
It was a truly memorable day of faith, devotion, tradition, and togetherness, reflecting the Gurukul’s commitment to nurturing students with strong character, deep-rooted values, and a lifelong connection with our spiritual heritage.
