Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Hyderabad had the proud privilege of welcoming the 14th President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind ji. He was given a grand traditional welcome by 1,200 students, creating an atmosphere of devotion, pride, and patriotism. His esteemed presence filled the Gurukul campus with humility and inspiration as he interacted warmly with saints, students, and faculty.
Shri Kovind ji admired the Gurukul’s unique blend of Vidya, Sadvidya, and Brahmavidya. Visiting the Sundaram Academic Block, Prarthana Bhavan, and Gaushala, he appreciated the Gurukul’s commitment to Indian culture and traditions. A colorful National Integration Dance by students from 24 states left him deeply touched, prompting him to say, “I have no words for the Gurukul students’ performance. It has truly amazed me.” He further emphasized the need for value-based education by stating, “Many schools give education, but no school is imparting sanskars — and that’s why we need Swaminarayan Gurukul more and more in the country.”
The former President blessed the students with his inspiring words on discipline, dedication, and service to the nation. Though his time was short, he assured, “I promise to visit Gurukul Hyderabad again.” Before his departure, he joined the saints and students for a simple yet divine Gurukul lunch, marking a memorable close to a historic day. His visit will forever remain a golden chapter in the Gurukul’s journey of shaping lives with wisdom and values.
