78th Independence Day - Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School

On 15th August 2024, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysore, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Pujya Harivandandasji Swamiji, Pujya Krishnamurthy Dasji Swamiji, Director Alpesh Sir, and Principal Shriharsha Joshi.
The celebration began with the guests’ entry, marked by a ceremonial badging and a grand welcome by the school band. The guests then hoisted the national flag, followed by the National Anthem and a disciplined march past by the students.
The program included a series of speeches highlighting the significance of Independence Day in English, Kannada, and Hindi. Principal Shriharsha Joshi and Pujya Harivandandasji Swamiji delivered inspiring speeches that resonated with the students and staff alike. Prizes were distributed to meritorious students, adding to the festive spirit.
Cultural performances added color to the event, with songs, dances, aerobics, and a fancy dress competition. Notable performances included a pyramid formation and synchronized drills by the students.
