Celebrating 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Spirit & Unity

On 15th August 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysore proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event, aligned with the nationwide celebrations, brought together students, teachers, staff, and parents to honor the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reflect on the significance of India’s independence.

The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. M.N. Singh, Ex-Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (Sergeant) and Flight Engineer in the Indian Air Force, a highly qualified professional with D.Tech, DME, B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering (IAF), M.A. in Public Administration, and Air Force Graduate. The celebration was further honoured by the presence of Suchendra Prasand Sir, a renowned actor, producer, director, and well-wisher of Gurukul, whose words inspired students to embrace values of patriotism, culture, and responsibility.

The program began with a warm welcome and continued with a series of vibrant performances that showcased students’ talents and devotion to the nation. Energetic dance performances featuring human pyramids, a powerful karate demonstration, soulful patriotic songs, and inspiring speeches filled the atmosphere with pride and enthusiasm.

The highlight of the day was the grand march past, where students displayed discipline and coordination, followed by a magnificent formation of the Indian flag created by nearly 800 students and 50 teachers. This breathtaking display symbolized unity and left the audience deeply moved.

Adding to the festive spirit, MLA Sir Ramesha Bandisiddegowda, along with the parents of Master Mithesh and Master Jitendra, generously sponsored sweets for the students. Their thoughtful gesture added sweetness to the celebration and demonstrated their continued support for Gurukul’s initiatives,

The 79th Independence Day Celebration at Gurukul Mysore was not just a cultural program but also a platform to remind students of their roles as responsible citizens. The event beautifully combined tradition, patriotism, and community spirit, reaffirming Gurukul Mysore’s mission of holistic education — nurturing students academically, culturally, and morally to become proud and value-driven citizens of India.
