Jay Swaminarayan
Grade 7 students of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, near Mysore, had a unique opportunity to experience farm life firsthand. On 17th August 2024, a visit to the local paddy fields was organized, allowing the students to immerse themselves in the daily activities of farmers and understand the hard work involved in agriculture.
The event was thoughtfully organized by Mr. Annaiahswami, Kannada Faculty, and Mr. Lokesh House Coordinator, with the wholehearted support of the village farmers. The Grade 7 students participated in various farming activities, from planting seedlings to learning about crop management and the importance of sustainable farming practices. This hands-on experience not only provided valuable insights into the life of a farmer but also instilled a sense of respect for the dedication and perseverance that farming requires.
The visit was a significant learning experience, helping students appreciate the importance of agriculture in our lives. It also emphasized the values of hard work, humility, and gratitude, which are central to the teachings of our Gurukul.
We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers and the village farmers for making this enriching experience possible.
