Exploring Heritage: Field Trip to the Regional Museum of Natural History, Mysore
On 28th August 2024, students of Grades 1 and 2 from our school visited the Regional Museum of Natural History in Mysore. The trip aimed to offer hands-on learning experiences about nature, wildlife, and environmental conservation.
During the visit, students engaged in a drawing activity inspired by the museum’s natural surroundings, fostering creativity while observing nature. They explored educational exhibits on wild animals, endangered species, preserved bones, human evolution, and rainwater harvesting, gaining valuable insights into environmental preservation.
A documentary screening further enriched their understanding of the topics covered. As a highlight, each student received a sapling to plant, promoting the importance of tree planting and environmental care.
The field trip was both educational and enjoyable, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation for nature and a commitment to conservation.
