Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Mysore Celebrates the 125th Birth Anniversary of Shastriji Maharaj
Mysore, July 16, 2026: Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Mysore, celebrated the 125th Birth Anniversary of Shastriji Maharaj, the revered founder of the Gurukul tradition, with immense devotion and gratitude. The celebration served as a tribute to his visionary mission of imparting value-based education through the harmonious blend of Vidya, Sadvidya, and Brahmavidya.
The program was blessed by the divine presence of Param Pujya Tirth Swaroop Das Swamiji, who delivered an inspiring discourse on the rich history and glorious legacy of the Gurukul tradition. Swamiji beautifully explained the vision of Shastriji Maharaj and highlighted how the Gurukul movement has been transforming the lives of students by nurturing academic excellence, moral values, discipline, and spirituality.
Students and staff paid heartfelt homage to Shastriji Maharaj through devotional prayers and a commemorative gathering, reflecting on his invaluable contributions to society and education. The celebration inspired every Gurukulite to uphold the ideals of character, selfless service, and lifelong learning envisioned by the founder.
