On 2nd September 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysore observed the auspicious occasion of Jalzilani Ekadashi, a day dedicated to devotion, spirituality, and divine blessings. The event was graced by the presence of Pujya Tirthaswaroopdasji Swamiji and Pujya Harivandandasji Swamiji, who led the rituals with deep reverence and spiritual guidance.
The highlight of the celebration was the Kaveri water abhishek to Lord Swaminarayan Thakurji, symbolizing purity, renewal, and the sanctity of water. Along with the abhishek, devotees and students participated in sacred rituals including Pushparchan (offering of flowers), Kaveri River water Abhisheka, and devotional prayers, all conducted in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Each ritual reflected the essence of Jalzilani Ekadashi, signifying gratitude for nature’s resources and devotion towards Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
A key spiritual message shared during the event was the understanding that “as water gets recycled and returns fresh to the river, our lives too can be purified through devotion and service to God.” This meaningful connection between nature and spirituality resonated deeply with the students and staff, inspiring them to recognize the value of both ecological balance and inner purity.
The presence and blessings of the saints emphasized the importance of living a life rooted in values, discipline, and gratitude. The message of Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s blessings for all students was central to the event, instilling hope, positivity, and divine protection in the minds of young learners.
The event concluded with heartfelt prayers, leaving the participants with a profound sense of spiritual fulfillment. Teachers and students alike reflected on how the rituals of Jalzilani Ekadashi can guide them to embrace values of humility, service, and respect for natural resources in their everyday lives.
The Jalzilani Ekadashi celebration at Gurukul Mysore was not only a day of worship but also an opportunity for students to experience the harmony between spirituality and the environment. It strengthened their faith while nurturing a holistic perspective that connects devotion, ecological awareness, and moral responsibility.
