Welfare Movement
On 28th September 2024, students from Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysuru, visited BGS Orphanage and Chamundi Children’s Home, themed ‘Light of Hope & Brightening Young Lives.’ This initiative aimed to promote empathy and support for underprivileged children in the community.
During the visit, students donated essential stationery items, including notebooks, pens, and art supplies, to the children at both homes. The atmosphere was filled with heartfelt emotions as students interacted with the residents, sharing stories, laughter, and moments of connection that left a profound impact on everyone involved. Gurukul teachers were present to witness these touching interactions, providing encouragement and guidance throughout the day.
After the visit, Principal Shriharsha Joshi took the opportunity to interact with the students, inquiring if the purpose of the visit had been fulfilled. The students expressed their heartfelt reflections, noting how the experience opened their eyes to the challenges faced by others and reinforced the importance of kindness and community support. This meaningful outreach not only brightened the lives of those at BGS Orphanage and Chamundi Children’s Home but also inspired the students to embrace their roles as compassionate and responsible individuals.
